Mogadishu – As the Holy Month of Ramadan begins, the United Nations in Somalia extends its best wishes to all Somalis during this time.
"Ramadan is a time for reflection, compassion, solidarity and helping those in need. On behalf of the United Nations family in Somalia, I wish everyone a tranquil and restful Ramadan, surrounded by family and friends – Ramadan Kareem, Ramadan Wanaagsan!" said the UN Secretary-General’s Acting Special Representative for Somalia, James Swan.
The United Nations in Somalia remains committed to supporting the Somali people and government in their pursuit of a peaceful and prosperous nation.
